Welcome to the Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority (GIBA)
The Boca Grande Swing Bridge is located in Placida, Florida. It is the only land link from Charlotte County to the three (3) barrier islands known as: North, Cole and Gasparilla Island. The Boca Grande Swing Bridge spans two 80-foot wide channels on the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway at Placida Harbor. The GIBA took over operation of the bridge, causeway, and toll system in 1998 and is a State of Florida Independent Special District.
The weight limit on the GIBA bridges is 80,000 lbs. All large vehicles (dump trucks, tractor trailers with 3 or more axles, heavy commercial trucks and equipment) are required to be weighed on the GIBA truck scale. The Toll Plaza is open 24 hours a day.

Payments Accepted: Cash, Credit Card, Apple Pay/Google Pay, GIBA Toll Pass
**Only legally registered vehicles displaying a license plate will be permitted to travel along the causeway.
Sunpass, EZpass, LeeWay, and rental car toll passes are not accepted**.
